First of all want to say congrats to Ehsan for a beautiful site which i think could be an exceptional addition to all the resources we, as mobile internet pioneers and entrepreneurs have at our disposal.

Of course we have mtld.mobi, dev.mobi, mobility.mobi, mobisitegalore.com and so on.

We now have InternetMadeMobile.com too! You just need to acquire IMM.mobi for a perfect pairing ! Anyway onto the subject in hand………..

Banking Pioneers for .mobi:

Really the story of the week is how RBC.mobi has now joined the growing band of Major Banks adopting .mobi,It is the Banking sector, worldwide, it has to be said, that is leading the charge.When online payment solutions like western union etc adopt and use mobi then we are in clover.

PayPal have of course got PayPal.mobi but don’t promote or use properly to count yet imo.

This is the first key area. Banking and online payments, and thanks to proactive forward thinking players , they are making the first moves. Bank of America obviously deserves special mention along with all the advertising they are doing.

They are the largest Bank in Canada and if this is promoted in the same way as Bofa, the mobi train is gonna keep a rollin’

The real beauty is these guys aren’t using other tlds. They are using their cctld more often than not and a com variant, but they have ignored .net, .info, .biz

They are saying we equate mobile internet with .mobi.

If their client base of millions of people do too, mobi will go from strength to strength, its why .mobi was not ‘just another tld rollout’
